ABOUT US

Community Spotlight is a not-for-profit community interest company which builds positive communities by connecting, signposting and 'shining a spotlight' on the community groups, people and organisations based in and around Hampshire.

We give organisations a platform to connect, support & collaborate with the wider community by sharing their stories, events and projects through our social media, website and videography. We host regular events throughout the year to bring like-minded organisations together.

Community Spotlight started out as a Facebook group in 2020 called Together We Can Portsmouth. The group was set up to enable us to build an online network to support & connect local community groups during the Covid pandemic. 18 months later and the group was brimming with community kindness & support!

In 2022, we decided to take the plunge and launched Community Spotlight CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company. Our aim is to help create social change and make a positive impact by increasing awareness, connecting communities and reducing social isolation through our fun activities and marketing initiatives.

WHAT WE DO

Connecting the Community

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

We develop and execute fun, innovative marketing strategies to expand and engage the community. We aim to help organisations increase brand awareness, stimulate discussions and encourage participation.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

We support local people and organisations expand their presence in the community by identifying opportunities for activities, partnerships and collaborations within the community.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

We run regular 'Spotlight' events to showcase what's happening in the community, promote local organisations and bring people together.

We start conversations and establish opportunities for connections through our networking forums, events and activity groups. We support people to gain confidence in their abilities by providing opportunities to support the community.

We provide a promotional videography service to organisations across Hampshire to help raise their profile, by filming events, activities, local businesses or for charities to use to support funding applications.
